Let us introduce a brand-new game, just in time for your 2024 Christmas shopping.

Panda is based on a game my father made for our family. His grandmother taught him to play it when he was 10, so it has been around for more than 75 years. My great great grandmother called it “Åsna”. There are variations of this game around, with different names and slightly different rules. I have played if for as long as I can remember, and it was introduced to all guests who visited my parent’s home. On our family nights the winner usually made pizza, enjoyed after the last player was left with a pile of cards. With some additional rules and small changes from the game my father taught us, I have created Panda.

Panda is a very easy game that can be played by generations together. The goal is to get rid of your cards first. There are however some rules to keep in mind and if you break the rules you will gain more cards, and you don’t want that! Panda needs at least 3 players but can be played with up to 10 (or more people, but then you each have less cards to play with). How long it takes to play depends on how many you are and if you choose to play the quicker version, with less cards, or the longer version which requires the colours to match. 30 minutes is the minimum playing time.
